10 : Lecture

"Knowledge and Artefacts"

Today's lecture was more of the same exemplars from previous lectures, but questioning them in a different way.

If architecture is concerned with contexts, artefacts, and people, then what is the role of the architect?

Architect as a Visionary
Architect as a Coordinator of Events
Architect as Enabler

"An architect's blueprint is a specific one-off set of plans whereas the 'blueprint' in nature is a set of instructions which are dependent on a particular environmental context for their interpretation." - John H. Frazer

I think in relation to my project, it would be very interesting to focus more on the sequence of events of how the people of Canberra interact with my "mobile architectural entity" than focusing on the entity itself.
